James Murphy and the Greenberg OST
This is interesting, two months out from the release of LCD Soundsystem’s new album James Murphy has added his talents to the soundtrack for the upcoming Noah Baumback’s film ‘Greenberg.’ Talk about going in different directions, the songs more akin to 1970’s soft rock and early Elliott Smith, really shows off Murphy’s versatility. Murphy contributes 11 songs to the score with additions from; Steve Miller Band, Night Jewel, Stokes guitarist’s Dad Albert Hammond, Galaxie 500, The Sonics and Duran Duran. The highlight being the LCD credited, Wings / Floyd inspired Oh You (Christmas Blues). Not too sure if the film is actually any good but the score is killer!
