Lately, technical sportswear has been featuring seamless construction and new bonding methods to assemble high-quality gear. This trend is not exclusive to apparel, New Balance has applied this science in their 574 ‘Sonic Welded’ pack, as all three shoes have been produced with minimal stitching appearing only at structural points.

The process involves using heat and pressure to meld parts together, which explains how they were able to use both mesh and nubuck without thread. Because of how they’re made, all three use a single color upper, in black, grey or brown, with the white midsole and a contrast color on the heel. Black and mint is definitely my pick. Thanks Pete!
